Maartje graduated from the University of Applied Science in Groningen, the Netherlands, where she developed a strong interest in women’s health.

She has worked in gynaecology and fertility for over ten years and throughout this time Maartje has taken the responsibility of managing nursing and clinical services.

She has a specific interest in ultrasonography and patient support and is an active member of the Royal College of Nursing (RCN).
